Where are we going? Intuition: The divine calling and our response

I’m going to start this article by making it clear that this is not a theory, but rather a new territory that we have discovered. Who «we» are is precisely the point.
In a world where distance itself has nearly disappeared due to social media and other connections, it’s easier than ever to look at ourselves in the mirror and find weird similarities with other human beings. We tend to repeat patterns; we have been learning how to do it since the day we were born. Why is that? Just to survive?
At the beginning, yes. But the fact is that we take it to the next level. Humanity created or discovered math to solve problems, yes, but is that everything? Think of Pythagoras and his obsessions. We humans developed consciousness, and with that came certain qualities repeated across different societies throughout history: the search for meaning, the necessity to transcend, the search for God…
In the modern world, something funny happens if you follow certain tendencies on social media…
There is a clear trend among young people of getting back into religious or spiritual beliefs. I am not the only one talking about a “collective spiritual awakening”.
This term is not scientific, but which ones could be?.. A lot of people are sharing similar ideas and hypotheses. “I think dreams are the key to time travel”, “I think I can see the future”, “I have the ability to manifest things into reality”.
We are not physicists, not neuroscientists, but we have ideas, and those ideas are suspiciously similar to some concepts that do have names and are, in fact, being currently investigated by serious scientists across the world. Deep intuitions, inspiration, dream realms.
Some of the people sharing these ideas may not even realize that we are indeed questioning reality itself, in our own language, in our own context.
Why now? Maybe because we live in a symbolic reality that just can’t stay hidden anymore. Is apophenia seeing patterns where there are none, or seeing patterns where there only appear to be none?
Maybe bringing pattern recognition to the next level didn’t actually change the purpose; maybe it is what we need to do now to survive.
Scientists across the world are being pulled toward the same conclusions, but by different roads. Some use formal math, some use biology, some use poetry. It doesn’t matter; it is as if everything is pointing in the same direction.
Intuition sometimes feels like a divine calling. What would have happened if Newton, Galileo, and Archimedes hadn’t followed it?
Now is our time, because the truth is that we are living in hard times: a mental health crisis, war, low fertility rates. It is our responsibility to do something about it.
More and more people are feeling the call. I invite people to write, to prepare in the sciences, and to make art, because the universe is a puzzle and we need all the help we can get.
